Hi everyone,
I am interested in the Ray 35 neck thickness vs. the Stingray 5. I own a Stingray 5 and find the neck a little "thick". Is the Ray 35 the same or thinner than my Stingray 5?

Thanks!

Feels thicker to me on the ray 35 and it has the finish on it. One of the reasons I sold mine.

Why not try a Sterling 5?

I don't think that will accomplish anything.

IIRC, altho there is a difference in necks
between an SR4 and Sterling 4-string, the
5-strings both share identical necks, and
[again IIRC] identical bodies as well.

Don't forget that the SR5 is the original
Sterling Bass. There was no need to make
a different neck nor body when changing
it's name from Sting Ray to Sterling.
