Pulled the trigger on the COT50 prototype Pete has. Love buying guitars from Dubaldo. Best service from an etailer.

I will eventually upgrade the 5-way switch to a CRL and the pickups to Rose Robusta pickups

Arrived. well made. Wonder if it's basswood like production models. It weighs more than my SBMM Valentine. The wood is heavier than the Valentine's ash. The neck pickup is acting wonky. Way lower output than the other 2 pickups. Going to throw a set of Tex-Mex pickups in it with a better 5-way switch this weekend.

Here's the info from Brian Martin, former VP at SBMM

#9 CT50 Fire Engine Red THIS CAME ABOUT AS AN ARGUMENT BETWEEN MYSELF AND THE FACTORY. THIS IS WHAT THEY DETERMINED WHAT FIESTA RED WAS. IT IS MORE LIKE "OSHA ORANGE" OR A SICK TOMATO...

So I have prototype #9

Have some Fender Tex-Mex pickups and better 5-way switch on the way
