Just saw the first one roll across my feed. Damn, I hate not being rich. :)

I'm wondering if Pete would work out a 10-year or so payment plan with me. :)

So what the heck is “high profile medium” frets?

Also, it says “roasted mahogany” neck, the one pic I looked at looks like a roasted maple. Roasted mahogany... is that an EBMM first?

I think the high profile medium frets is their standard lingo for 6105? I might be wrong.

The one shown on Pete's website has a top that sucks even more than that one! Wow.
Ernie Ball Music Man Axis Super Sport Trem BFR – Quilt Light Purple

Boy are they keen on white binding lately.

Yes, there were a lot of instruments with white binding in the new BFR launches.

The pics on the listing I saw just look like natural mahogany for the neck.

That is a very nice looking Axis. The 27 people that end up buying them will definitely have a very stunning looking guitar. And transparent purple over a quilted maple top. That is a favorite finish and wood combo of mine.

Yeah. I was building a project guitar late last year with a quilt veneer and that's almost exactly the look I was going for -- transparent purple top with natural mahogany back. I failed miserably. :) EBMM, of course, did not. That is gorgeous.

Unfortunately, I've only got one guitar left that I'm willing to part with, and it only gets me about a third of the way there. *sigh*
