I was just thinking about what he said at 9:38, that corrosion was a bigger problem for him than breakage. Haven't really ever had a problem with string breakage on my Les Paul or Strat. I change them more for sound quality after they get too old. Granted, I don't play professionally so maybe I'm not as hard on them.
