I want to get a set of Hipshot tuners for my new SBMM Albert Lee. I’m curious if anyone has swapped their tuners for Hipshots, and if so, what post height you might have used? They offer 3 different post heights - 18-19, and 20 mm.

My SBMM has generic non locking tuners. I’ve come to really like the Hipshot tuners. They’re a bit lighter, they work well, and they’re less expensive than a set of Schallers. I have them on a few other guitars I own.

Gotcha. Sorry- wish I knew. You could probably email SBMM directly, or perhaps measure what you currently have?

Just so happens that I know a guy with an extra set of locking Schaller that are for a MM. A really cool forum member helped him out with a non locking set and now the locking set is laying around collecting dust. PM me

I have a hipshot bridge on my kiesel holdsworth. It doesn't like staying in tune.
If I want hastle free tuning stability, I play my Alberts and axis 👍
