My god the groove! How can I find this tone??

I know Joe knows lots of things that I don't. But, this is the tone in my head. Is there a pedal? Is it all post processing? I have the Sterling, I don't have the tone!

He's pretty solid, but you know who I'm liking even more lately?

... yeah, no one. That dude rules. His Cutlass demo is definitely what turned me on to that bass.

He's a serious bad-ass and while I love whatever he plays, that is awesome Sterling tone.
It sounds just like a Sterling to me, so it's not like you have to work hard to get that tone - but you might not sound exactly like that, eh?

Love Joe Dart, incredible pocket and and concept of groove. As for the Sterling tone, I imagine the Vulf compressor is at work here, but it sounds more or less identical to my Sterling (especially in headphones/recording directly).

My tone is a little rounder/bassy than Joe's. I get a little bit of that buzz/metallic tone but not nearly to his level. Maybe we're not playing the same notes :).
