Heh, didn't realize you NEED batteries to play. I thought it only needed them when you pushed the 'active' pickup controls. I was about to fuss at my Helix when it stopped responding. I changed guitar cords and it would play for awhile, then stop.

Then I had one of those Simpson, "D'oh" moments. Dropped in some Lithium AAs I just bought from Amazon (good price on the 12 pack) and all is well.

Mine eats batteries like crazy and I'm always good at keeping it unplugged when I'm not playing it....problem is I'm always playing it.
