Help! Tremolo Cutlass detune G string and setup tremolo

Hello I've bought a Music Man Cutlass. Just amazing guitar. I want to use Tremolo bar, but when I pull down the tremolo bar the third string goes up. I just one time pull tremolo bar and when I realise the G string goes up for half step. And I need to pull up the bar and string goes to normal G tuning. Somebody knows how to set up the tremolo to keep tune the strings? And what distance needs to be between guitar and tremolo, and how to set up the spring from back. Thank you very much!!

Like said before, it sounds like the nut needs lubrication. The G string binding a the nut, which is why it goes sharp when you let the tremolo return.

As for tremolo distance, the cutlass is usually set up for "Dive Only". If you want it floating, how high would be personal preference. It depends on how much up pull you want.
