Hi everyone,

My dad has a Music Man Sabre bass made in 1984. He needs to replace the 5-way switch and jack socket.
The problem is he is not completely sure that the parts which he has found on Amazon will fit his bass. He heard that Ernie Ball started to install different switches on Sabres at some point, and he's afraid that when he gets the parts, they won't fit his guitar.

The links to the found parts: link to jack, link to switch.

Could somebody please help with confirming he found the right stuff? I attach the photos below.
This is the jack socket:

This is the 5-way switch:

Many thanks in advance!

The jack will be ok as it has correct Music Man part number.

I have doubts about the switch you refer to. However, if you email Ernie Ball Customer Service they would be able to help. They made your Sabre up to 1991 and re-released the Sabre again 2013 for several years ("Classic" series Sabre). Although the Classic Sabre also had a 5 way switch, the switch positions weren't the same switch positions as yours. But I think the switch itself would be the same (just different wiring).

Customer Service would also have a wiring diagram if needed. They will also have the jack.

Customer Service can be emailed:
