I’m still dialing in my axis and so far it covers just about everything. But I am having a problem getting it to sound good with down tuned sludgy music.
Stuff like Black Sabbath, down, corrosion of conformity and mastodon.
I have pulled those tones off before with Jackson, teles, and of course the dreaded G.
Since I play mainly at home I tend to play everything from clean blues to metal. But my main styles and tones have always been like billy gibbons, pepper Keenan and a sprinkle of jerry cantrell.
I know one guitar won’t do it all perfectly. I just like to get in the ball park.

I'm sure you can get in the ballpark with your tone... the axis is a little bright compared to a lot of guitars, but does 80's metal extremely well. You may want to adjust your amp settings to dial in the tones you are looking for. I also picked up a predator axis and i love it..
