New Old Boingo Day:

FL 1H piezo

Can't get this stuff nomo !

Oct 28 2008 in neck pocket.

PG looks to be nonEBMM,
never seen anything like it.

Installed D'A half rounds,
way older than the bass ;-)

Very nice one ! What’s the colour? It’s a classic one but the name escapes me.
Interesting looking mute !
Pick guard some kind of grey pearl? Suits it anyways

Nice one :D
And pretty rare...

Is it a mute pad between the bridge and the PG ?

Yup. I use them on everything ! Slide it all the way south
and almost zero effect. Way north is all thumpity thump.
In between provides various amounts of twang relief.

Color is Medallion Gold. PG is very
strange. Has tiny details that look
like tiny "dummy text". All the tiny
black things that look like oversize
black pixels are not artifacts of jpg
processing. They are plainly visible
to the eye when seeing the PG up
close and "in person".

I have an EBMM Black Ice PG, and
it is entirely different than this.

I like everything about that bass... Rock!

As a fairly constant internet browser,
I have encountered only one instance
of a Boingo 4FL 1H-piezo ... this one.

I do have one more, bought 10 yr ago
face-to-face no internet involved. For
all I know, my own 2 examples are all
that exist. Only thing we DO know is
that these are out of production :-(

Myself I did not know the name of the
color ... hadda research it a bit. As to
the "dummy text", there's no alphabet
to the type of dummy text I refer to.
It's just a texture field of white space
and black symbols. You could make an
entire newspaper page from that and
altho there's nothing to read, it looks
real from 5 ft away. This PG looks like
a wavy, bunched up page from such a
newspaper, pressed behind a window,
but silvery gray and black instead of a
white and black page.

I see what you mean, zoom in really close it almost looks 3D.
Very cool

Medallion Gold. Correct me if I’m wrong but pretty sure it was one of the first colours from when the Bongo was first introduced

IIRC it is of the first generation of crazy
Boingo colors. At that time I had a Lava
Pearl and a Desert Gold, and so I looked
at Medallion Gold as a rather "quiet" or
"tame" finish. Acoarst, in this instance I
didn't really know what color it was cuz
the photo with the listing was very dark.
I could barely tell it was some version of
yellow-ish ... emphasis on the "-ish" ! It
didn't matter what color it was cuz I had
NEVER seen another FL4 1H Piezo in the
10 yrs that I've had my black one. So, no
way would I let this one get away :)
