Still has the plastic on the back covers. Someone put an EVH wolfgang fretboard guard on it for shipping?

Also, the EVH models had the selector switch in a different place. So the only thing that was possibly ever EVH is the headstock, which may or may not have an EVH signature under it.

Yeah someone is smoking the strong stuff.

Awesome guitar, love how the description says "never played" then says it plays great. :D

It's been relisted as a 1999, probably the accurate year, but he still wants $6K for it. Best of luck.

Not sure what they are smoking still. I wonder how much they paid for it. It's quite a bit LESS interesting without the bogus backstory.

That's my guess, that the seller didn't research before buying and got taken on an instrument that's really not that special. Now, he's trying to recoup some of his money.

Either way, it's a black Axis. It's about 3 times as expensive as it should be. I can get a BRAND NEW axis in a color I like a lot better for 3500 less than what they are asking.

I've never understood what the deal with the Black Axii. Regardless of rarity, geez black.... boooring.

There are SO many gorgeous EBMM finishes.

Agree 1000%. I’ve been saying this for years. Black or white guitars are just so bland to me.
I don't know about that. I do love my JP16. It's the one black guitar I own.

Think I can get $6K for my 2000 Trans Green Axis? It's mint and has always been a case queen? Any suckers... er, I mean... interested parties out there?

I like black guitars - as did Clapton Gilmour and many others.
They don't look like a tarts handbag or conjure up images of Dentist's / Accountant's guitars - not that there's anything against those professions ;)

Shiny black guitars are so hard to keep clean though... antique white is also nice and classy, but you don't see every single finger print you leave on it.

However, the exception to this is black gibson SGs. They always look good. I wish I hadn't sold mine.

We need a pic to test my theory. ;)
Ask and you shall receive! Sorry for the delay. Please excuse the crappy old carpet that desperately needs replacing. Since my daughter has moved out, I've taken over her room to use as my guitar cave and the room really needs to be redone.
