Happy Holidays and Happy New Year, everyone! Welcome to Day 1 of my annual New Year's New Guitar Days (NYNGD)!

OK, off we go on what has become an annual tradition! Every year, I am a slacker about keeping my Guitar Gallery up to date... So, as a fun holiday thing, let's launch a guitar in the Guitar Gallery each day as we ring in 2020! Sorry I was delayed getting this started -- really hectic time of year for me work-wise and I fell behind! I usually run this so the Grand Finale falls on New Years Eve, but that's impossible as we have 13 guitars to share and I would need to upload them all today and tomorrow!

Before we begin: In the past I've received PM's about my collection and whether I play all of these guitars. :) The same question came up during my NYNGD posts a few years ago and my answer was pretty detailed and well thought-out, so please check it out here!

Even though I set out to roll easy this year, GAS took hold as always and I again bought too many guitars. Some new, some used, all EBMM!

This year's first guitar is kinetic! This 2019 Majesty is a stunner in Kinetic Blue, a really cool "flip flop" paint that changes from light blue to purple, is a unique change from past Majesties because the body wings are made from basswood instead of the standard mahogany. This gives it a unique sound that tone from all other Majesties. I'm tempted to swap out the Dreamcatcher and Rainmaker DiMarzio pickups with Axis/EVH pickups because the hot JP pickups combined with the basswood is a little too hot for my taste. Plus, I think this guy would look cool with zenra pickups. What do you think?

Getting off to a chill start. Another guitar coming tomorrow!

(The back story in case you're new to my NYNGD: For the past couple of years I've done a fun thing that most of you I think enjoyed, and I thought I would do it again this year. Every year, I am a slacker about keeping my Guitar Gallery up to date... So, as a fun holiday thing, let's launch a guitar in the Guitar Gallery each day leading up to New Years Eve! In the past I've received PM's about my collection and whether I play all of these guitars. :) The same question came up during my NYNGD posts a few years ago and my answer was pretty detailed and well thought-out, so please check it out here!)

(Also, in case anybody gets any funny ideas -- these guitars are not at my house. They are all in my very secure and alarmed studio facility. I usually only have two guitars floating around the house...)

WOOF! Love that finish!
Personally, I would stick with the black & blue theme....and purple, which is awesome!

You have a great eye for photography! Not a bad eye for guitars either:D

I love that you know what you like and you go for it. In that same spirit, I’d say do the pickup change. I think it would look awesome and you’re an expert on those pups at this point so you know it’d sound good.
