Hello all:

I have owned a EBMM Y2D in Purple Sunset, as well as Sterling Ray34, Ray34FL, and Ray35 basses. All were great instruments.

But this week I traded a 2004 Avalon L32c acoustic for a used EBMM BFR JP6. I really like it for a rock axe. But I'm confused when I look up the serial number here. It returns with a "-0001" made instrument in "starry night" color with gold hardware. The serial number is G34853.

Was it made in 2001? Does this color look like "starry night"? I know that the hardware isn't gold. I'm confused.

I need to call CS for sure. I was looking at pics of the new 2020 EBMMs and see a short-scale Stingray bass that's listed as "starry night", and it definitely doesn't look anything at all like my JP6 colorwise.
