JP13 no output

Hey guys,

First post here.

I have a JP13 with no output unless strummed really hard on magnetic pickups. Nothing from piezo.

Has anyone had a similar issue or ideas where I should start troubleshooting?

For a while the volume pot was scratchy sounding but now nothing at all.

Dumb question here... is the battery bad?

Already swapped it. Issue persists.

Does sound like a power issue. Can you try wiggling the battery in the box, to see if you get any output?

Not all 9V batteries are the same size, so sometimes they don't make proper contact with the connectors. If that's the case, you can either use a little shim (out of cardboard) at the end of the battery to seat it snugly in the box, or gently pry the connectors in the box forward, towards the battery, (with a small screwdriver, etc.) so that they make better contact with the battery.

I'd experiment and see if that's the issue. If not, call Music Man on Monday and ask for some help.
