Just installed these new Wilkinson locking saddles in my Luke III today & they fit perfectly. Have never been a fan of bent steel saddles & was going to replace them with steel block saddles, but figured I’d try these first. I’ve never had any major tuning issues, but these are a nice upgrade and they do add tuning stability.

That’s great - you’ve answered a question that’s been on my mind. Could see these making their way onto my Albert Lee

Guthrie Govan switched to some custom-designed locking saddles a while ago.

Nice design on these Wilkinsons.

Guthrie actually uses an old Floyd design with no fine tuners. The cool thing about the Wilkinson design is you don’t have to cut the ball end of the strings. Once you’ve stretched them out, just lock down each one at the intonation point. It definitely helps with the low e & g strings returning to pitch & not sharp after depressing the bar.
