Dear Musicmans and girls

I have bought a used Luke III HSS.
It is very very nice, but the single coils are very very noisy when im not touching the strings.
So much that you can hear it over playing.

I can see other adressing the problem, but I cant find a solution.

Can you help?

Regards Hans Nyholm

Hello Hans!

If the singles are the originals, they should be quiet all the time. In fact, aren't they supposed to be noiseless single coils, like Paul Gilbert's DiMarzio Injectors?

It may be something easy to fix like a poor ground connection, or perhaps the previous owner messed something up. If you bought your guitar from a store, you should get in touch with them to sort it out. (If you are in Europe you have protection from faulty used goods if you bought from a store).

Thx for the reply - Since I made the post, it has gone from bad til worse.
The preamp is cutting out - No sound at all - and when the soud sometimes returns, it is very bad:-(
Hmmm, no easy fix.

Regards Hans
