I’m yet again changing the pickups on my standard Morse. Right now it’s back to the stock pickups. I’m going to change them again burn it sure what I want to do. I have axis pickups in my y2d with a Floyd. So my options from what I have at the house are,
1. Axis pickups
2. Pearly gates neck and custom custom bridge.
3. A set of thornbuckers
4. Duncan Jazz and jb
5. Duncan jazz and super distortion
6 bare knuckle rebel yells
7 . Dimarzio transitions which id have to buy.
Everything else I have at the house.
So what do you guys think?
I’m kinda leaning towards option 2 and 3

Man, so many options.

Personally I didn't love the Axis pickups when I had them in a Morse (great pickups, just didn't work in my Morse).

Fwiw, I settled on Transitions plus the stock singles, and 500k pots. I think anything 'PAF' flavoured would sound great.

Keep the original Morse pickups !
The secret is how you blend them with the single coils ...
Now, most of the time I play with a combination of HB and single coil (before, I was just a bridge HB guy).

Steve and Dimarzio knew what they were doing when they made those pickups. They really do work well together. I've been experimenting with mixing the humbuckers and single coils more and more. Just a great sound. I also like the bridge single coil by itself. The neck HB works well with the slanted single coil as well.

Just really not a big fan of them. They sound good but not what I’m going for.
