Virtual PAFs are amazing pups...just put a set in an SbMM Axis. The comment on "singing" lead tone...YES SIR...truly amazing!
..though I will say the chromas do work fairly well...
...as a designer I MUST protest...green does not go between reds... :)
Also interesting the neck on the Buttery Blonde does not appear to have the typical oil/wax finish...but a gloss clear coat.
Interesting...only one hardtail in the lot. Do you not like hardtails? Stunning collection.
Are you using double-stick tape on the guards with no screws?
Yep, hang on to the pups. I just posted a SbMM AX30D on Reverb and was immediately offered $400 for the pups.
I just added a pick guard to my black SbMM Axis when I converted it it to HSH configuration...looks great. Black guard with white pups.
Silhouette HSH has 5-way switching and provides some very fine single coil tones. They also of course have the HSS configuration. Great guitars and the Virtual PAFs are amazing pups.

I would gladly exchange one of my "light-weight" Sterling trem blocks for your MM brass block...even pay all shipping.
Perhaps I should clarify...it has the USA made Axis pups, which, were the ones designed for EVH...yes/no?
Same ones that I have/had in my Axis SS and Albert Lees...
Pulled the trigger on a near mint (as described) AX30D in Cherry Burst Quilt. Has original EVH pups. I will add Schaller M6 locking tuners and call it a day. While I have never been a Cherry Burst...
Shame the inlaid neck plate was discontinued. Is the body wood still alder with that finish? Mahogany would be the bomb.
Nice - what's the weight difference between them?
I don't think so...looks off-center and doesn't run all the way up.
You can always stuff a couple toothpicks into the hole when you put the new screws in.
I have ordered them directly from MM. Call customer service. I think it was about $10 shipped for a set.
Three recent shots...White MM Silo HSH and Black SbMM Luke, Turquiose Pearl AL.

Interesting...they used a scarf joint. Too much tension for a single piece neck?
Very nice!
Real curious about the tones from the Axis. I like that it is not smack-dab centered, but closer to the neck.
After just shy of 300 transactions on Reverb...I just closed my account. Their fees have become ridiculous and they say right on their selling page that you retain 92.3% of your sale price. In...
