Do you have pictures of the rest of the bass? Particularly the neck plate is very important in identifying a real one from a fake.
However, those tuners do not look right, and the logos do not...
Shiny black guitars are so hard to keep clean though... antique white is also nice and classy, but you don't see every single finger print you leave on it.
However, the exception to this is black...
Those are somewhat interesting. What's the purpose of the spacers? Trying to get the fabric windings closer to the nut?
Fake Fake Fake
There's so much wrong about it.
Maybe, if he didn't mod and hack them all to pieces over the years. He doesn't look to have been gentle with his guitars, ever, and also his...
Looks like the neck shifted? I would also wonder why the truss rod "wheel" is that far from the base of the neck. It should be directly against the neck. Was this a new guitar?
It looks like...
I guess I should post this outdated (I cleaned up the cables) look at the pedalboard I put together. As Danny-79 said, there have been LOTS of pedals made recently SPECIFICALLY targeted at the bass...
Oh dang! Now if only those weren't Matte finishes on two of the guitars.
Either way, it's a black Axis. It's about 3 times as expensive as it should be. I can get a BRAND NEW axis in a color I like a lot better for 3500 less than what they are asking.
I would much rather have the Green/Gold flip flop color from the Dargie II run. Just my feelings. I'm not down with Matte finishes on bodies.
Of the current EBMM offerings, only the Stingray Classic and Old Smoothie have the string through body design.
Fodera basses also are top loading only. Same with Alembic basses. Same with Spector...
Not sure what they are smoking still. I wonder how much they paid for it. It's quite a bit LESS interesting without the bogus backstory.
The screw on the bottom of the block controls how far the trem arm can go in. Ideally you want it to fully seat, but not have enough room to go further.
The tension, as Pete said before, is...
Still has the plastic on the back covers. Someone put an EVH wolfgang fretboard guard on it for shipping?
Also, the EVH models had the selector switch in a different place. So the only thing that...
I wonder when they are going to start having those tools available for purchase. I had a screwdriver break in a very stiff wheel once.
If it is oiled, then you treat it like any other EBMM oiled neck with the "hand rubbed gunstock oil and wax blend".
What kind of guitar is this on? If it has binding on the neck, it will have a...
It would depend on how the splitting was achieved. If it is physically wired to the knob, it may be doable. If it is part of the electronics, which has no physical switches, probably not.
Just remember to save those pickups! They were custom wound just for that BFR run.
I would check with customer service to see if your stingray has Ceramic or Alnico pickups. 2007 was the changeover year. If they are Ceramic, they would be usually wired in series, like the Sterling...
Read lots of reviews. I would make sure whatever you choose has a blend control, as that really is essential to keeping the PUNCH in your sound. I use a Sansamp programmable for light overdrive, and...
Maybe pull the neck, and take of the truss rod nut? See if it is in one piece and make sure the threads are intact.
Does it go into back bow if you remove all tension from the strings?
EBMM guitars do not have a double action truss rod. Are you sure you are turning it the right direction?
If it was "concave" that is a forward bow. But you sound like it was in back bow? Do you...
Hmmm. If it was my guitar/bass, I would pull the neck, and then unscrew the truss rod nut all the way off to see what I can see. It's not common, but sometimes the nut ltself can have the "wheel"...
I just worry about how the bridge single coil will work with me. I know that style of guitar: the tele with the neck 'bucker, and I just never bond with it. If I'm gonna have a guitar with singles...
Having owned gloss nitro, gloss polyester, gloss polyurethane, satin poly urethane, bare rosewood, oiled maple, and oiled mahogany, I honestly don't see what the issue is. Proper hand position...
