I have owned an HH Bongo and currently own an HSp. Never had a single H but wanted one for a long time. I believe BP called it the "secret weapon." And that purple with black hardware looks awesome....

From quote #1 to quote #2, less than 30 days. That's gotta be some kind of record. :D
Though if I played guitar, I'd want an Albert Lee.
Very nice! I have a silver Big Al 4SSS, I know there aren't many out there. I always liked Egyptian Smoke too.
I get the appeal of fanned frets much more than headless, but the bottom line is no manufacturer can be all things to all people. If you want a headless bass, there are options in the marketplace....
Very nice! The roasted neck on that fretless is amazing.
I weigh myself on the bathroom scale, then pick up the bass and do it again. Good thing I'm not selling anything these days, because I haven't stepped on the scale since March. I'm guessing I've...
I don't know what he used back in the day, but his signature P comes with standard with TI flats.
Nice! Bongo is an excellent name for a dog. We have two dogs (Stella and Iggy, both lab mix rescues) and they have fortunately shown little interest in my bass gear.
Trust me, I'm as far from a professional as you can get. But I gig (very) occasionally and I wouldn't hesitate to play any of the basses I own on a stage. I think of collecting like Nigel Tufnel:...
I rarely play my Sterling fretless, but I would never think of selling it. I just don't play fretless much. That said, it's an amazing bass and worth more to me than the $800-900 I could sell it for....
I have one kinda like that. Fewer strings but more pickups. Very nice.

That's a nice find, congrats! Please post a pic when you get a chance.
Very nice! I like the aesthetics of the split board. I know people talk about the effects of different fretboard woods on tone but frankly I've never heard it. Looks cool though.
I am doing the same course right now. I'm enjoying it and it's definitely cleaning up some aspects of my technique that I never really thought about.
Thanks Tollie! I'm totally jealous, please post more pics of that BFR when it arrives. The flamed neck is outrageous. My neptune blue Bongo has a roasted neck and I was hoping for one like that when...
Is that the one from Wildwood Guitars? Insanely beautiful, looking forward to more pics. And that's already quite a collection. I have the 4-string 30th Anniversary Stingray and it's awesome....
Very nice. I actually like the fretless better, but both are gorgeous. And a five-string would be about as useful to me as an unlined fretless. :D
Wow. Nothing would be more wasted on me than an unlined fretless, but I'd buy that thing just to stare at it.
My 30th Anniversary Stingray has been wearing TI flats for well over 10 years now, strung through the body. They're my favorite string and I have them on four of the six basses I own, including the...
I won't pretend to have any insight into EBMM's decision-making process for the Bongo (or anything else) but the merits of stringing through the body have been debated to death, without any...
Those strings are way too thin.
Wow, a post like this seems to be tempting fate. My headstock dings typically come from a ceiling fan.
+1 on this. You are hugely limiting your audience of potential buyers by insisting on a local sale. I have sold a bunch of basses through TB over the years, and shipping has never been an issue. Even...
That neck is insane. I'm very glad I have no money for bass purchases right now.
That thing is gorgeous. I could never justify an unlined fretless, but wow.
