Would like to know any/all details you have - year, color, pickups, original retailer, etc.
Thanks so much!
After a weekend in the studio with the Val, I feel a lot better about the purchase.
I recorded some stuff going the various profiles in the Kemper, and I also recorded two tracks with an amp...
Most recent update: I hate "vintage" style saddles! I don't like them on my Albee Lee, And I don't like them on the Val either. I finally had to take a small file to them...those saddle screws are...
Valentine - G81315
Thank you.
Yeah guys - I've pretty much ruled out anything wrong with guitar or neck...but thanks for the tips.
My only real concern with the guitar now is like I said above - it doesn't necessarily bring...
I think it's just me pulling the neck...I notice it most when sitting back on the couch - my right arm laying across the body and then I guess my left arm pulls slightly back on the neck causing the...
See my post right above yours...I tried to explain! LOL
Yeah, the stock knobs have returned. Those work on some guitars, definitely not on the Val.
I can only describe what I meant about the neck as like my experiences with the various SG's I have...
Agree with most - my Majesty is my finest guitar along with my Collings 290.
And JP is bulky, but he's short!!
Also, looking for opinions on these knobs...
Normally I like and have put these kind of knobs on several of my guitars and figured I would on the Val too, but I'm not sure I like them as much as I...
I just got my Valentine today from Sweetwater.
I think I love it - pretty darn sure I really, really like it...wanting to love it.
Does anybody else find the neck a little "delicate" for lack...
I have a set of M-Steel 10-46 right now and the (high) E & B strings have little sections on each of them that have discoloration...almost black looking...small, like 1/8" long but here & there all...
Yeah, I haven't talked to anybody that has heard anything about the Beta strings or received a set yet...just a bunch of marketing emails from EBMM.
Hi!
Albert Lee - serial # G50695
Can I get any and all info on this beauty please?!? Date, options, where it originally was sold at, etc.
THANK YOU!!
So I got around to trying out the piezo in this thing today with the Martin acoustic IR from 3 Sigma...
OMG! I thought the piezo on my Majesty sounded good with the 3 Sigma IR...the Game Changer...
Question for anyone out there that also has a Game Changer - if I choose a tone from "Bank Z" (the top switch) either on purpose or inadvertently, how do I get back to "Bank A" or "Bank B"...is it as...
Reflex GC - Serial # G63618
Any and all info would be appreciated...options, retail origin, etc.
Thanks in advance!!
Oh I'm gonna play it! I've been just getting into home recording and doing little instrumental "EP's" & just having a blast with that so I think the Reflex is going to be great for recording.
...
So I just picked up a new "old" stock Reflex Gamechanger with Piezo and after trading a Telecasterr on it, my net cost was $860! Anyone know what retail is in these? The seller got it with about 20...
Nice! I love the SM's.
I am on the hunt for one of the Y2D's with the Floyd Rose for a great price.
As a diehard D'Addario NYXL user, I signed up for a shot to give these a whirl...would love to find an EB string that I love as much as NYXL's but haven't yet...are these it?!?
We'll see.
The more I look at these Valentines the more I kinda dig 'em. Love that color too.
I think one of those would be a nice addition to my Morse and Majesty.
The only guitar I like more than my Morse is my Majesty. Both great guitars.
SM switching didn't take me nearly as long to get used to as I was worried it would!
I was sold on the Morse...
I too had a lot of tuning instability (esp. the dang G...always a problem it seems) and I put some of the Big Bends Nut Sauce on just the nut and it really helped.
In the end though, I ended up...
Hmmm...I may try another set of M-Steels. I've been so satisfied with the NYXL's though that I have a hard time even thinking about using something else, but my local shops always seem to have the...
