Yup, these custom pickups are based on the Air Norton (Neck) and Steve Special (Bridge). When JP switched to the D-Sonic, that pickup replaced the Bridge custom pick up (based on a Steve Special). ...
There was never a Steve Special in the JP. When the D Sonics were introduced they kept the original neck pickup - the model based off the Air Norton (which is the type of neck pickup you have). ...
This is the reason why I pretty much play JP models religiously.
Congrats on an awesome guitar!
The middle position of the JP is the inner coils in parallel, which creates a "Strat" position 2/4 type sound.
Thanks guys! I swear that Majesty is perfection playability wise. So comfortable and easy to play!
So Line 6 came out with new firmware for Helix. 2.50 included a model of the Mesa Boogie Lone Star 2nd channel. I just had to cover the Petrucci's Repentance guitar solo! This is one of the few...
As Much as I love my Majesty, I'd buy that guitar in a second. And/OR a Majesty with that esthetic! ::drool!::
I assume you are talking about a maple fretboard (as the necks on JP6's are maple). The only JP6s that I know of with maple necks are the PDN roasted maple that came out with a blue finish (forgot...
Pete - I never knew you had this beauty as part of your collection! I remember drooling over this finish when the JP line first came out. Most awesome.
Probably the simplest mod is to just change the angle of the switch, so that if you do hit it you won't change it's position. Have the switch repositioned so the axis of it's movement isn't in line...
You'll need 2 wireless units. I've got a Majesty and am in the same boat. I thought I could get around this with the G70, but nope. 2 separate units.
Yes...although, now that I went Majesty...I can't play another guitar. Maybe that finish on a Majesty with the covered humbuckers and pickup rings...
::dies::
That 20th Anniversary version of the JP is gorgeous!
Hey what kind of case is that? Looking to upgrade my Helix case.
Hey - I've got a Majesty and a Helix. I plug straight into the regular input, not the aux one. I actually use a Y-splitter and to have the Piezo and Magnetic pickups on separate inputs. I plug the...
On the battery box on the back is a light. When you plug in, and the light is amber it means the batteries need to be changed. I've found that as the batteries go, there's a slight cut out right...
Oh that looks pretty!
Thanks for watching, and the comment. Shoot me a PM and we can talk...
Yep - I remember running home from the bus to catch the 2 hour disney block on TV. My nostalgia is running on high at the moment!
Thanks for watching it. Lots of layered guitars in this one!
Hey guys, so I don't know how many fellow forum members grew up in the 90's. BUT, I decided to put together a Medley of killer tracks from the original (1993) series of Power Rangers. Everyone...
That does make me sad -- however totally understandable. Still love my JP 157!
...soooo...how do I get a replacement neck for my JP 157 from last year ;)
(but seriously, I'll pay for a neck...)
Very cool! I've seen pictures floating around here of a Silhouette modded as a Tele. But I can't remember who posted it or when.
Sounds like a killer guitar with some great sound possibilities!
