That ProMusicTools one is pretty Rad!
That was an awesome cover! You guys nailed it, and the guitar tones are so well done.
Huge Rush fan here ... I wore out Power Windows.
Sounds awesome (as usual). Great playing!
Seems the Sports are getting a lot of love lately :)
There's so much to love about that guitar, definitely.
I still feel like the Reflex would have been a bigger seller if it had fancy tops like the 25th, but I have no real data to back that up. It...
Man, so many options.
Personally I didn't love the Axis pickups when I had them in a Morse (great pickups, just didn't work in my Morse).
Fwiw, I settled on Transitions plus the stock singles,...
Man, I hope they do. That or a Super Sport HSS would be something. Maybe one day.
First off, that is one sweet quilt!
Re the serial #- it's not unusual to have it replaced; It happens occasionally. Normally they just grab whatever they have handy.
The database isn't perfect-...
The one I want is Jamie Humphries' Super Sport SSS. I'd hit that in a second!

Wow Keith! In with both feet.
That Axis is a stunner.
Man that's sweet.
Personally I love the sparkle- I'm having a hard time not buying it. I don't see it as dated.
I have a few fancy gauges but never use them.
I use the strings (depressed at the 1st and 15th frets) for setting the neck bow, and a standard small ruler in 64ths for bridge and pickup heights....
If I'm not mistaken, that neck came from me :)
I was lucky enough to find a bunch of Axis Super Sports necks for sale locally, years ago. (This might of been the one I had on a Luke II for a...
Gorgeous!
I can't say I come across a lot of Morses/Y2Ds with Floyds.
Personally, I like them. But they change the personality- they make them more telecaster-ish.
It's cool, just different.
The sparkle is calling to me.
The bridge pickup is the same one found on the EVH, Axis, Al HH, etc. You can't buy it except from MM ... so you might consider holding on to it ;)
The singles are custom wound Dimarzios - again,...
It's probably in the forum somewhere, but you could certainly email them to ask.
Regardless ... having a good set of metric hex keys (1, 1.5, 2 ... etc.) is a good investment for working on...
Think of yourselves more as "brand ambassadors" ... then you're doing great work ;)
Any Dimarzios, with the triangular legs, would be easy.
As per the recent EVH thread, you could try the Air Norton / AT-1 and see what you think. (I threw those in a buddy's Axis a while back and...
I pretty much set my trems to down only. I don't pull up much, and I like the added tuning stability when I bend notes, for detuning, etc.
I tried the Tremol-no but didn't love it. It's not too...
They are not the Axis pickups. I believe they're DiMarzio Virtual PAFs.
They're quite different guitars. The Silo has 24 frets and a fuller neck profile, body contours, 2 pickups, standard (non-locking) bridge, not to mention the difference in pickups and woods.
Both...
