Thanks! If I recall, the current pots are 500k, so maybe they were changed at some point.
Also the diagram shows one 4 wire cable from the pup, and this has 2 - 2 conductor but I'm sure the function...

Hi all,
I have a friends OLP Stingray on the bench for some electronics diagnosis.
Single HB, 2 volumes, 1 tone. (passive)
The complaint is that the tone control does nothing until ~ 90% roll...
Technically not an HSS - Super Strat, but more of an S guitar on steroids - PRS - NF3. (3 Narrow Field humbuckers)
To me the AL has all the features I like in an EBMM. Vintage Trem, comfortable shape, neck profile, (mine is rosewood) Passive electronics (no silent circuit).
My first Cutlass was SSS w/ standard...
Have AL-HH
Had 2 Cutlass (SSS, HSS)
Had 2 Lukes
Want an AL MM90.
Looks pretty nice. I don't need anymore guitars.......nope, no sir, nada....
I would tend to think that the Sterling versions are supposed to be different by design otherwise who would buy the real thing. The few Sterlings I've tried, are night and day different than the EBMM...
My guess, is a Morse Super Strat type w/ contours (finally). Or a Cutlass w/ a maple top option.

Thanks
Got her last night : ) New strings and set the trem to float. The rest of the setup was perfect out of the box.
Glad I went w/ the RS, it's super smooth much like my AL HH Rosewood.

Nice! I just got a Cutlass RS HSS and love it.
Here's my 2012 AL HH : )

Found a great deal on a B-Stock Charcoal Frost Cutlass RS HSS with a rosewood fret board. I do favor the rosewood over a maple FB, so that became the deciding factor for me. Best of both worlds!...
Thanks guys for the feedback. Good points all around. My AL-HH w/ it's all Rosewood neck oil and wax is my favorite guitar, and like I said I had a 2017 Cutlass SSS, and probably the only reason I...
Okay so I'm considering buying a Cutlass HSS, and finding about a $400 difference between the standard necks and the roasted (RS's).
Never had or played a roasted maple neck, but I've owned a 2017...
Ha! Someone is holding up their phone and giving the finger to the rest of the crowd - sayin' "I got front row, and you don't"

I recently tried installing a DiMarzio Injector in the bridge of my SSS (SSS routed). And the result was not favorable. The sound was thin and almost out of phase by itself or in the 2 position. EBMM...
Yes, I got the color code correct. It came w/ the diagram. Looking at the Cutlass wiring diagrams. There is an added resistor, plus a jumper installed on the switch on the HSS vs SSS. I'm pretty sure...
FYI - I experimented w/ installing a DiMarzio Injector in the bridge, and the results were not favorable. Sounded thin and out of phase, alone and in the 2 position. Guessing it has to do w/ the...
Sure, send me the PM.
Understood, I have a spare loaded DiMarzio Area PG, I have considered testing out in the Cutlass. And I have felt the same way about the stock sound, it works great for most of my applications, but...
Welp, a new guitar is not in the budget, but upgrades are certainly doable...
I did get the wiring diagrams from EBMM for both guitars and there's a pretty simple addition to the switch w/ the HB...
I've got a 2017 Cutlass SSS / SSS routed.
Love the guitar, but every now and again I wish I had gotten the HSS for extra beef for bridge soloing.
Has anyone had good results from adding a single...
Mine is set to float, and it was an easy adjustment on the claw. No shims and no other changes to the setup were needed.
Now it feels and reacts just like my AL. Super smooth and stays in tune : )
