Not a direct replacement.
Afais some woodwork is needed. Two anchor point have to be drilled and I think the old bushings must be removed.

Try new strings.
Tighten the trussrod a bit, in case that is rattling.
Sure.
Do you mean Pre Ernie Balls?
Had both 79 Ray and Sabre.
Never noticed a difference.

Welcome.
Sometimes the wheel came stuck. Try to loosen it first, before you try to turn it carefully further.
Usually you don't have to take it to a tech anyway.

(I lost Bruno (Australian Shepherd) also to cancer last year. This little guy was rescued from a dog hoarder).
Could be the magnetic pull from the H pickup near the neck.
Try to lower the pickup (don't overthighten the screws).

Here is a pic from my 1996 Case. Black, a bit smaller than an F one, with silver lining. Afair my 1992 looked the same:37117
Hi Shane,
the first ones from 1993 had the bridge with mutes, different battery compartment and the recessed neckplate in the body.
The H models from late 90ties hadn't any significant differences...
Yours looks 100% original. Keep it if you are not in a hurry.
