Yeah that Axis is very jazzy looking, and the pickup seems to be about midway between where a middle and neck pickup would be on a 24 fret. Look forward to hearing a demo of it for sure!
Amen.
Apologies if this was posted already, doesn't look like it though!
Anyhow, the December BFR drops are up! :)

Yeesh. It's a monstrosity spalted or not, a visible folded up bit of paper as a neck joint shim, the pickguard is overhanging the edges, one of the trem screws is different than the rest, wiring is a...
Ok but to be fair I did cover my ass after seeing that he was a mod, named after a bass with the amount of posts he's done by stating:
"(you may know this already, could be an inside joke I'm...
Nice, congrats!! I love this BFR, I ALMOST bought one of these just before EBMM dropped the July BFR Silver Sparkle Silo... and the decision was made for me! But yeah, very close to having a similar...
The first time I ever saw a MM guitar was when I went to the Steel Wheels tour back in 1989ish... pretty sure both Ron and Keith were using them at various times, I also recall wondering what those...
So the BFR StingRay from Dec 2019 was just shy of the 8 pound region, it was a little hefty and chunky for me, mostly the neck was too chungo for my tastes. I don't see StingRays being much more...
I feel this, I bought an Ibanez Saber back in '89, when i was 20ish, my first higher end guitar, was about $1000 at the time. It was my main guitar for a decade, gigged all over the place with it,...
I just sold 2 guitars back to back for about 6k all in on my local Kijiji to help cover my crazy silver July BFR Silo.... sometimes you need to wait a bit for the right offer, other times they sell...
Roger that and generally I'd agree... though oddly enough I do have a use case for spending $100 on a trash knock off guitar, which I guess is why I mentioned it... I'd gladly spend 100 bucks to take...
Unless it's like $100 bucks and you just buy it as a curiosity, then stay very far away... I've never owned a music man guitar with such messed up nut to tuner string positioning not to mention...
Thanks a bunch! :)
For sounds, the Super Distortion does have some extra bass in it (as you probably know the pickup is profiled to have some extra bass for punch) it isn't super bassy to me,...
Exactly, I've already recorded some parts for a friends album with it and the result has been pretty gritty! :D
Must say going back through the thread a bit, I'm i tiny bit jealous of your '94...
Thanks folks, it hard to not look at all the time! lol
For pickups it's got a Super Distortion in the bridge, The Chopper in the middle and a Super 2 in the neck... all classic DiMarzios. It's...
As promised a few weeks back, here are a few glamour shots of my July '20 BFR... a real honest to goodness masterpiece of sparkling beauty! :).
Note: I have no idea why this site alters the...
Nice... looks great! Being a Joe Walsh fan I'd just tell myself it was one of his and move on in life lol It had to be someone of some kind of influence tbh as 2009 is a year or so before they were...
Welcome and congrats! That red is beaming... and the figuring on the neck, gorgeous. :)
Oddly, I did this exact thing some years ago... I had a 2010 HSS Silo Special and I ordered a fully loaded SSS guard in black direct from EBMM... basically I was trying to emulate a Gilmour Black...
Just as a heads up almost all of these guitars are available to purchase at Long and McQuade in Canada... they're in stock at the warehouse, prob a couple days to get it in your hands! :D
Music...
Rosewood board too... pretty sure the BFR was all roasted maple if memory serves. I almost managed to get one of the BFR's but it slipped through my fingers :(
Totally, in the US for sure, especially the big(ger) chain stores... can see that via the order now links, but I'm in Canada, thinking more about other parts of the world ;)
Very cool looking congrats! :D
Side note if you are interested... sparkle guitars are hard to get shots of sometimes, a method I found works decently is to put the guitar under light so it's lit...
I also like the look of that Mariposa, would compliment my black ALHH nicely... I have no connection to the guitarist at all, so I much prefer the lack of etching on the guard!
Also enjoying the...
