Gorgeous!
I can't say I come across a lot of Morses/Y2Ds with Floyds.
Personally, I like them. But they change the personality- they make them more telecaster-ish.
It's cool, just different.
The sparkle is calling to me.
The bridge pickup is the same one found on the EVH, Axis, Al HH, etc. You can't buy it except from MM ... so you might consider holding on to it ;)
The singles are custom wound Dimarzios - again,...
It's probably in the forum somewhere, but you could certainly email them to ask.
Regardless ... having a good set of metric hex keys (1, 1.5, 2 ... etc.) is a good investment for working on...
Think of yourselves more as "brand ambassadors" ... then you're doing great work ;)
Any Dimarzios, with the triangular legs, would be easy.
As per the recent EVH thread, you could try the Air Norton / AT-1 and see what you think. (I threw those in a buddy's Axis a while back and...
I pretty much set my trems to down only. I don't pull up much, and I like the added tuning stability when I bend notes, for detuning, etc.
I tried the Tremol-no but didn't love it. It's not too...
They are not the Axis pickups. I believe they're DiMarzio Virtual PAFs.
They're quite different guitars. The Silo has 24 frets and a fuller neck profile, body contours, 2 pickups, standard (non-locking) bridge, not to mention the difference in pickups and woods.
Both...
I recall BP saying that the reason they stopped recessing the neck plates was that people would frequently overtighten them, leading to cracks in the paint. Perhaps they stopped this for a similar...
That Luke is gorgeous. And holy smokes, that Axis is stunning!
I can't recall when the change happened- I've had a few that were recessed as well. I'm sure someone here can pin it down.
... it's a thread from 2005, so ...
Right- it's a TRS not a combo jack. Yeah, I'd play with it and see if you like the sound. If so, perhaps look to get a different interface with more inputs (of which there are plenty).
I saw that one earlier- yes, fabulous read.
Sure, you can blend them, but into a DAW for recording, you'd ideally want separate channels for piezo and mags so you can treat them differently (amp sim/effects/EQ/etc).
If you have a TRS cable...
Imo, the EBMM block saddles are great- they sound good and there aren't any sharp edges (assuming that's the main issue). You can buy them direct from MM.
That said, there is a difference in tone-...
Changing tunings on a floating bridge is a pain. Allow plenty of time to tune, tighten/loosen the claw, retune, etc.
If this is something you're planning to do regularly, I'd look at getting...
That guy is a monster. Killer guitar player (he's also an amazing slide player), and an incredible singer as well.
Crazy amount of talent.
I don't think Pete would tell us anything that EBMM won't.
We're all just going to have to be patient. Everything is disrupted at the moment- global suppliers, local workforces, retail stores,...
The knobs are pretty generic- you can get any of the Fender style hat knobs and they'll work- they just press on. If they won't go on evenly, I'd just buy new ones for a few bucks from a local store,...
Yeah, I'm sure you're right.
I just pumped that S/N into the online too- it came up AL SSS as well.
That is a great guitar! I have a pinkburst from 1994 and love it. (Though I added a Silent Circuit to it myself.)
Sounds about right. I had a mid-2000s AL with no Silent Circuit.
