Our job and mantra is to make tools for artists. We only hope that artists desire innovation. We also provide choices....Do you want us to be an ice cream shop that is...
It was an honor to be asked to demo these fine basses. I had never played these basses prior to the video shoot and every one played perfectly right out of the box.Thats a testament to quality...
Go to my website Official Site of Bassist Dave Marotta listen to the track "Alright " .You may not believe it but thats a Bongo 5 single H with Cobalt flats recorded through a Markbass Multiamp with...
To my knowledge the Caprice has a Sterling neck profile and the Cutlass has a Bongo neck profile. In either case they play beautifully.
Ill try to post sound samples. The tracks I used for Musicman to evaluate the basses are not yet copyrighted so I will have to ask for clearance. I can see the Cutlass replacing my P bass. As a...
I just had the opportunity to spend two days with the new Caprice and Cutlass basses.
I recorded them in my studio and did some comparisons with some of my own basses and I can report that these...
What he said!
CAll Hipshot and ask for Oscar. He knows all the tech stuff and will have you send him pics. I have two coming as we speak for my Bongos.
Thanks, I also spoke with Dave Larue and he uses them on four of his Bongos. The tech at Hipshot wasn't sure about the Bongo fit
but Larue confirmed it will fit so I will order a couple.
Not yet but I plan to. Right now I have the preproduction Cobalt flats on a Stingray and a Bongo fretted and fretless. Gotta wait like everyone else .
Has anyone installed a Hipshot BT1 extender on a Bongo? Feedback please?

My 25th Ann (Reflex) is my go to bass in the studio. Its an HH rosewood and I always start a session with this bass.Covers just about everything.
"Does anyone know why Marotta got a set before the rest of us?"
I was involved in the final testing of the Cobalt Flats. The EB mad scientists were very responsive to feedback and were able to...
I also am using the Cobalt Flats on a stingray 5, A Bongo HH 5 string fretless, a Paul Lariat acoustic fretless and a 70 P bass. They work great on everything
Bass was flat. I made a preset on the Multiamp that uses the Markbass Big Bang Amp model but no effects or compression
Fretted Bongo 5
Many of you have asked for an example of the new Colbalt Flats so here goes. The song is In Your Eyes by Peter Gabriel.
This is the NRA Band (no rehearsing allowed) that plays once a month in L.A. ...
Wait till you try the Cobalt flats.
I have been using these on 4 of my basses for about 3 months now. I can report that you all will want to try a set . The goal was to make a flat with the brightness of a roundwound and EB has in...
Hard to pin down is an understatement.....in a good way.so many great ideas that came forth kept us on our toes .We could do another cd on the great out takes.
Don't forget the Single H Bongo on the two great bass solos
when Bp does a video, I can be in his.I think we are a little closer in age!
That is not me in the video although I wish it were. It would be great to be 20 again! I am way too old to be seen with the younger artists I work with in the studio.
