I've used a Keeley 2 knob comp, and it basically gave me instant "sounds better" to anything I was playing in practically any situation. It didn't colour the tone, but made everything sound well, um,...

Last night I was about to reach for the very very fine steel wool for a spruce up of the frets and fingerboard of my Silhouette - but stopped - what the best way to carry out a deep clean?...

I stick straplocks on everything guitar shaped in my house. After watching the guy who bought my old LP drop his own one that was secured to it's strap by normal small buttons with rubber beer bottle...
