To the OP - rw neck sounds fantastic anyways.
If you will read carefully - you will find that the only thing I stated - that this MAY happen. That is all.I would not write about that if my axe's neck was not ok. But it is OK. It tunes well and...
Glossy finished neck? Aaaand... No. I wanted to mention the buzz. Sometimes with rw neck it appears even with pretty high action. + when you are adjusting the neck - you may rotate the rod up to the...
Rosewood feeling is a sheer delight as for me :) Too bad I can't say anything about rw bongo sound. Got only SR) And you may experience some drawbacks with rw neck. Yeah - now I must be taken to the...
Hi guys! I'm thinking about BFR MMSR5H with ebony board. Any suggestions about it? I've heard some ppl thinking that ebony is pretty unstable to the moisture. Is that right? And how about the tonal...
Not very good idea to buy it as for me.
Did it twice last 2 years. Non-laquered maple may soak a bit due to the weather conditions. But maybe my SR needs some oil and wax treatment cuz I'm not sure the previous owner did it for last 18...
Wonder wipes do it very well but it won't remove aged grime eaten into the fb.
There is surely something in Sabre's appearance) But I do not really like covered pu's there. But how about the sound? What exactly distinguishes it fro the SR?
No guys) It is just frankenbass Sabre ripoff from eastern europe. You take it to serious) I guess it is better to close this thread.
Pete Bass and SBMM, I hope you are joking :) It is just a piece of old wardrobe with MM bridge on it
Just found THAT on local trade site. The seller says that it is VERY RARE MM SABRE. You guys need to check this out. Off speech actually. I have to admit that even chinese rip-offs look better :DDD...
CS will sell you one - no probs. It will cost you around 4 or 6$ for the Stingray jack + shipping.
Yes, that is how they exactly work :)
Always check the serial number database before you buy or trade something. Did you? You've posted about that bass already but I can't recall the topic. The wood grain is pretty but seems a bit...
They used some alder in early 2000s and some poplar in early 90s as far as I know. Todays Stingrays are all made of ash if we are talking about ordinary ones.
Ash.
Maybe u are right. but the bass version looks the same. I use it and pretty satisfied. The only thing I'd removed it is raincoat that hiding in the neck area. Good idea actually but not really...

maybe that one?
Do not save on bass protection. 150-200$ for the gig bag that will serve you +/- 10 years is not realy much. Instrument repairs will cost more :) When my Stingray fell from the stairs all the way...
Everyone will suggest you Mono gig bags here. In case that those are not on sale at my region I use Gator Commander.
Oh, my bad) Was a bit distracted, sorry) Maybe someone else will answer
Can you describe what is the real sound difference between basswood and mahogany Bongo?
Yeah but I'd like to hear about exact difference)
