In regard to item B, it's a matter of preference. Some players prefer high action and like to go under adjacent strings when they bend, others prefer low action and push into adjacent strings when...

Thanks for the link to your response to the question whether you play all your guitars. It's interesting to find out what others here do besides hang out on guitar forums, and nice to find out that...
I don't have a scale, but picking them both up, the semi hollowbody is indeed lighter than the solid body. I expected them to be pretty much the same. The solid body isn't heavy by any means. The...
The Silhouette is a few $100 less than other models. It's nice that you can still get a USA built EBMM for under $2500, while Axis and Luke models approach $3000.
But I'm guessing to keep the cost...
I remember plugging one of these in at a local shop in the 1990s. Back then the stock humbuckers were Dimarzio PAF Pro if my recollection is correct.
EBMM's finishes are typically pretty dazzling. Both the solid colors, many of which are sparkle or flip flop types, and their clear finishes. I'm sure the new ones will be impressive.
I got a pair...
A second Axis Super Sport arrived today. The one at right is a 2015 model.

The Cobra burst finish is my favorite color on the Sabre. The black hardware really looks great with it.
Congrats!
I contemplated a used JP15 that came up at a shop I've dealt with before, but...
Some interesting ideas in the December BFR collection.
The passive Stingray bass with natural satin finish is appealing to players who want a passive bass with a no frills look.
The Axis is like...
You've had a great year.
Nice score on the quilt top 2018 BFR Axis Super Sport. I tried pulling the trigger on one of those on Musician's Friend's site but it shows up as on back order, and I don't...
Very cool basses. A couple of rare ones that were only in production for a while in there too. Thanks for sharing!
I'm so sorry that this happened to you.
There seem to be more and more guitar builders jumping on the bandwagon.
Maybe not so many combining headless construction and multi scale. But lots of multi scale guitars and basses out there.

Last month I got the September 2020 satin honey burst BFR Bongo.
My first, which I got in August, is a fretless Bongo. Then a month later when the BFR satin honey burst Bongo came out, I was...
That is a quite impressive family photo! I see you grabbed a few BFR basses, as well as the cool Plumpkin Stingray from the vault. I was looking at that one yesterday. It says the SLO neck profile is...
I thought that meant 3 months after you place your order. They get your order and then the backlog and build up time = 3 months. You ordered yours in August. I'd expect you'd receive it mid-November,...
There is a fretless Bongo 5 string available in the Vault.
Bongo 5 string fretless
I got a used muscle car purple Bongo fretless 5 string in August. It's the nicest sounding fretless bass I ever...
That magenta pink/purple on quilt is one of my favorite colors. There was a BFR Axis Super Sport a few years ago in that color.
Good luck in the hunt for a purple one.
And I agree, the amber...
I find great new indie music on soundcloud.com all the time. I'm not real inspired by many of the commercial releases I hear these days.
Rick Wakeman of Yes said something in an interview back in...
I missed the sparkle seafoam green Caprice bass. That would have been nice.
And I see a Steve Morse model with a maple fretboard. That is cool.
I am a song writer with a home studio, which complicates this issue considerably.
I record a few songs a year. But I keep basses around which I haven't used in years because I got them thinking "I...
Did you grab the trans red Axis Super Sport that popped up on reverb last week? I was eyeing that one. Great price and excellent condition.
It's my first post. I became an EBMM bass owner in August (2020) and just became an EBMM guitar owner on Saturday. I'd kind of ignored the Axis Super Sport, the "little brother" model to the Axis. I...
