Hi,
sorry for the delay.
EB sent me a brand new jack, which I didn't use yet. Since my last post, the problem didn't show up anymore, so I'm not going to do anything for now. I'm not sure it's gone...
Of course. Thanks.

Ok, I'm back with the pictures.
First of all, let me say that I somehow solved the problem. I'm not 100% sure that it will not happen anymore in the future, but for now everything seems to work with...
Thanks for your help.
I guess that the reason why the jack hasn't been replaced is because it's placed in a different position?
In your picture, the output jack is mounted on the same metal plate...
I hope that the problem is in the cable, it would be the better scenario with the easiest solution.
I'm not sure what you're saying, but there is no plastic parts touching anything. If you look at...
Notice how the non plated cable seems longer.

I bought 3 "Vitamina C" cables a couple of years ago, they're made by Quik Lok and have gold plated plugs. I've always used those at home and at rehearsals and never had a problem with any them. They...
Try Quilter Bass Block 800, or 802.
I have the BB800 and I always leave it flat when using my Ray. Super simple to use, very "transparent" when set flat. It just works.
My cab is a Barefaced Super...
Other then pictures of the jack, I'll post some pictures of the cables I have. Maybe you'll be able to tell me if/what is wrong.
Thanks.
I did, but maybe it's just coincindence. But I tried 3 gold plated and 5 non gold plated and the problem showed up only with that three, which are all made by the same company.
Oh, ok. It's clear now. That, or maybe a dirty contact. I don't know, I'll open it up asap and post some pictures. As soon as customer care replies I'm gonna ask for a new jack anyway.
The fact that...
I've never had problems with power at my house. Everything works perfectly. Anyway, I just tried to use my Phil Jones HA-2 heaphone amp which is battery powered. The problem is still there....
Hi,
maybe some of you guys remember my previous posts here about my SRS.
I've recently acquired a beautiful StingRay Special 4H in Dropped Copper. After a couple of weeks, I noticed that the signal...
I used a Barber Linden for a while because of that, and the bass always sounded fantastic.
I'd also add a little bit more output to those pickups.
In my experience, It depends on the brand of flats.
Some of them don't like to be twisted, and the angle damages them over time. Another reason is that some flats aren't long enough to be stringed...
Since I've got my StingRay Special, I'm having the exact same experience you guys described.
Just for information, flats and through body stringing isn't an ideal combo, usually.
I started playing bass with a Fender P, and I played that bass exclusively for more than 2 years. Being a noob at the time, I dind't know anything about the classic "P with flats" combination, I just...
Never tried flats on my StingRay yet, but I'm curious.
Yesterday I took my Special to rehearsals again. No pedalboard, no effects, nothing, just the bass and a clip on tuner. The room was new and I didn't know the amp at all (an Ampeg BA series), so I...
I'm happy too. My SRS 4H is finally back home and I'm gonna take it to rehearsals later tonight.
