Happy Bday BP- hope you're able to enjoy it with family!
Though the blanks are cut by CNC, necks are hand sanded. So you'll see minor variations on all of the MM necks.
It's an interesting guitar for sure! The position of the switches is odd. I've always looked at it as a great platform to mod- lots of ways to use the switches and make it your own.
On the...
Closest to the bridge is 1.
Assuming the wiring for the Sterling version is the same as the MM version (scroll down here - St. Vincent 2018 | Guitars | Ernie Ball Music Man), then yes, the 5th position is Neck & Bridge in...
Seeing as this has turned into a FS/WTB thread, I'll just let the interested parties PM each other ...
It shouldn't be rocket science. Assuming the strings are new, the intonation isn't right, or you're throwing out the intonation by pressing too hard when you fret.

HNY guys!

The reason people suggest doing it one at a time (with a floating bridge)...
Wow! Damn that one took me by surprise. Great write-up. I would love to hear it in action.
That is a stunning guitar.
Love that one.
That's hot.
Yes. It'll throw off your intonation. Are the screws loose that hold it in place?
That neck! Wow.
Jeff- what do you think of the pickups compared to the Transitions?
Both pickups?
In general it's a good idea, esp. if it gets really dry where you are.
Perfection.
Why don’t you ask Warmoth for their advice?
Merry Christmas Kev! Fun stuff.
