It’s probably not meant to be touched unless you know what you’re doing. Hence no mention in the manual.
I never noticed it, but I’m going to try it now. It sounds like it could be exploited to make a cool effect.
Killer! Are you changing the pickguard to white?
Ah, a kill switch. That’s a great spot for it too.
Black knobs! And what’s that extra black button up on the pickguard?
Check it. It’s on a stand behind him in a picture here. Blue, apparently.
It makes total sense really.
Done. I loosened the claw and reset the saddle heights. Super easy, and the intonation was only out on one string!
Excellent. That also seems a lot easier, and with less saddle adjustment.
I could also reduce the height of the saddles using the adjustment screws. There should be enough adjustment there....
Resurrecting this thread, as it seems appropriate.
I'm planning on floating my St Vincent trem, and in order to have the bridge parallel to the top of the body, I would usually back the bridge...
That “sonic blue” st Vincent is fantastic. It just needs a mint-green plate...
IMO the extra metal gives it a Tele-like sound.
Very nice.
Surely you’re more likely to break the battery compartment than you are to suffer damage from a battery leak?
A damp sponge in a little perforated plastic box inside the case, and a humidifier in the room. The humidifier is partly for me, too. Better for your skin, no dry nose, dry lips etc.
Guitar...
That’ll teach ‘em.
How do the Railhammers compare? I have no interest in changing my pickups, but I’m interested to hear why you prefer them.
Standard satin finish. The only changes are the knobs, and removing the pickguard.

I’ve been playing with the idea of getting it refinished in Sonic Blue.
Once a year, when I re-apply gunstock oil and wax, I use a scotchbrite-type pad to give it a light rundown first.
Hmmmm...
Maybe...
This. Also, a Valentine in any other color than the current options. I have natural and don’t like it at all, but the guitar is so good I can put up with it.
(sonic blue, if you’re asking).
I have those same knobs on my Valentine. Fender amp knobs. I love them. I also removed the hideous pickguard.
The St Vincent case is huge, deeper and longer than the Valentine case, for example.
I’m also interested in this. Which is lighter? I have a St Vincent. The neck shape same in that as on the Albert Lee, right?
