I know this is about a discontinued model, but I'm fascinated.

If this hasn't been solved....
My money is on the nut. I think the harmonic you're hearing is actually the D string ringing behind (above?) the nut. I've had a number of guitars where this...
That's a gorgeous instrument. Heirloom quality, LOL.
Enjoy and play it in good health!
I just love the design. It looks so unique yet plays and sounds so familiar. And the playability is just out of this world. I would love to see some backstory on the construction method behind it,...
I find that as a brand, with the exception of the Petrucci and Morse models, EBMM guitars don't vary too widely in neck dimensions. It's part of what I like about them.
Thank you!
I don't have large hands either, but I actually prefer chunkier necks. Thin shredder-type necks cause my hands to cramp.
The necks on these have some decent girth to them in general, but really...
A few weeks ago, I snagged a black burst flame top Armada for a pretty killer price on Reverb. I've long been a fan of EBMM guitars and have owned about 4 or 5 over the years, and was always curious...
Man, nothing about this guitar looks right.
I don't think EBMM ever made an Axis or EVH model with a carved top like that.
The routing around the pickups isn't normal.
The control plates...
Thank you!
I have pretty decent ears, and I thought I could hear a difference as well, but I also have a pretty decent imagination and I wasn't sure if I was hearing a difference because I...
You definitely understood (and answered) my question! Thank you.
Follow-up - what about the order in terms of top-to bottom? Is there an appreciable difference between which coil is wired to...
Aloha new friends!
I just got my awesome HSHP GC delivered yesterday. I knew going in that they are discontinued, but I've wanted one since launch, and when I had the opportunity to snag a...
This is a fantastic effort. I'm not able to test it right now, but since the GameChanger was discontinued (and I just bought one this week), I've been a little worried about the online app + chrome...
I'm chiming in late (and have very few posts here) but this is my 2c:
You should never expect to travel with your guitar to anywhere and expect it to be playably in tune when you get it out of the...
Hi
Have you looked inside the control cavity at all? I only ask because just yesterday I had a similar thing happen.
Actually, what happened to me is that I'd ordered an absolutely pristine...
That's awesome, man! Fantastic news.
My band (also independent prog metal) are not on cdbaby, but bandcamp.com - which is also an awesome service with tons of options for artists. You should check...
I don't have much confidence that your "tech" really has a clue based on what you've said so far.
I'd take it to someone else.
Apologies, Drew - your case in point; I see that I was wrong about the Piezo state. I've removed my last post.
That's awesome that the GC presets remember whether the piezo was off or on. That...
But will it have positraction????
Good call - I assumed as much. Two covered pickups with a strat-style coil in the middle would look really weird.
but, I gotta point out, the guitar in this pic doesn't quite seem finished to me:...
Ah, Tapatalk support too? Sweet!
I ain't got no beef wit dat.
WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT??????????????????????
Holy crap! That's all I needed to hear!!
WHEN CAN I ORDER ONE?
So effectively a coil is either active or it is not. There is no partial/tapped output from any coil.
Maybe I'm confused.
As far as I understand, coil "tapping" isn't the same thing as splitting. Your explanation makes perfect sense when talking about splitting, since as you say, the GC doesn't...
If so, that would increase the number of options exponentially. It'd be brilliant, really, on top of an already brilliant idea.
Sorry I don't have any clarification for you. I suppose you'll have...
