The Blue Magic is sexy!
That would be a huge bummer but I'm not all that surprised. I don't get the impression that they sell many Sterlings anymore. Love the 3 that I own.
FWIW, Woodwind & Brasswind is one of Guitar Center's subsidiaries.
I'm guessing the introduction of the Short Scale Stingray is what ultimately killed this project.

Haven't weighed mine yet, but it's pretty light.
The Music Zoo has this one listed at 6lbs. 13oz.

Many of the BFR and PDN Bongos have regular dot inlays. Do you have a picture you can share?

Congrats! We need pics!
I was able to get the last pre-order slot Sweetwater had for these. Can't wait until mine arrives.
I have a Sterling in that finish. It's called Sapphire Black.
Welcome!
Please post your serial number in the thread below and they'll hook you up!

Blue with a maple fretboard. I really like that Blue but the Burgundy with the Rosewood board is pretty damn sexy.

Any word on street price for these?
Definitely interested in this. I would love to see the full specs, though. What's the nut width?
Hmm...some are saying that's not an official account despite what it says. I don't follow Dream Theater as closely as I used to so I'm not up on all the official accounts anymore.
Oh, snap! Can't wait to see that!
My local GC is the same way. A couple of SR5 HHs that have been there a while (one in Pace Car Blue!). Unfortunately, they both have major fret sprout issues and are in dire need of a setup.
Minor correction. The official color of the Guitar Center exclusive Bongos with the roasted neck and the stealth parts is Barolo and not Firemist Purple.
Hello,
I just acquired a Bongo 5 HH with Serial F76514 and would like to know the completion date and any other information you can provide.
Thank you so much!
I believe the Sabre necks were more like a standard Stingray neck. At least that's what I remember from when I tried one out a few years ago.
Hello,
I just acquired a Dargie I Sterling bass with Serial F15998. Can you please tell me any info you have on it? I'm particularly interested in the completion date, the dealer to which it was...
