Btw, ran flat into the board, then reamped. It sounded incredibly tight and bright. I use MJC Ironworks Strings on it.

They are extremely useful in tapping and for recording!
Congrats! That finish is neat. I'm sure you will love it!
I have been waiting for the St. V bass since rumors first started! I hope they don't do it in a short scale though!
So, I currently threw a .32 gauge on with a set of 45-105s. That was a no-no?
Hello guys! Quick search pulled up nothing(in the forum).
Does tuning a Musicman Bongo 5HH in EADGC stress the neck or cause any long term damage to these beast? I would had to snap a headstock...
Wowza. It's beautiful!
I will be in the studio with my Bongo 5HH tracking my groups next single this next weekend. Hopefully I can get a nasty pop-punk tone out of this thing!
Bass Centr! They had a few on their reverb, and I offered them a low offer and they accepted! You can get a steal of a deal from them!!!
....But yes, I have had many people tell me "I wanted to use this gig bag so it would fit in my car easier. Therefore, I sold the case." I do not understand that at all.....
I believe my bongo did not come with a case originally. It was made in 2004, and I believe that was prior to them shipping with a case.... Correct?
Hello! Noob here, so please be nice. I picked up a used Bongo 5HH, which turned out to be a 2004 model(I didn't even realize they have been making the Bongo for that long). I love it. It has been...
Interesting.
Welp, I got it figured out my guys! On reverb I was searching "Ernie Ball Bongo case" as opposed to "Musicman Bongo case". Kind of goofy. I appreciate your help!
Hello! I do not post here very often, as very seldomly do I need something. My question is as follows.
I purchased a used Ernie Ball Bongo 5H. The guy I received it from no longer has the case,...
I'm definitely feeling better that I didn't just get a lemon. My previous bass, BFR Rosewood Bongo 4HH definitely didn't have any dead notes, so I was a little worried this thing was just a turd. I...
I want one so bad... Literally have been waiting on this since the release of her signature model. Was just telling a buddy I wish they would release a St.Vincent bass, now I'm just going to be...
Has anyone else noticed any dead notes on their Neptune Blue Bongo 5HH? I just got this monster, and after setting it up I noticed that the A note on the D string is empty, with no sustain or...
My first EB was an EBMM Sterling. Fell in love and haven't looked back!
Any Skynyrd song. Specifically "Give me 3 Steps". The after that probably Wagon Wheel.
I would love to see a bass with this general body shape! It has got to be one of the coolest/mellowest looking bodies I have ever seen! Looks like it would play its of man! Congrats!
You got a beautiful neck on that thing man. In your opinion, how does it compare to a Pbass from yesteryear? I was playing a 1972 Fender the other day, and loved the tone but the playability left...
Looking for tips, tricks and opinions on the best way to care for an all rosewood neck. What kind of oils do you use, how often you oil, cleaning processes etc. Thanks for your opinions!
That's clean man. Super classic looking.
Very helpful! I absolutely love the "buy this if you are looking for..." section. To echo the gents above, sound/video clips of the Bongo would be great. Also, and this may just be me, I would love a...
