I had a 2017 SSS and moved to a 2018 RS.
Again, like others here, I thought the non roasted model had a far sharper profile to the fretboard edge than does my RS, which feels more rounded-over.

Since you ask, it would be rude of me not to:

Thanks! I didn't really expect others to like it. Just wanted to encourage others to go for their own particular fetish.
The price was very, very good (cheap actually), but I'm in the UK and the...
Jut to note that after your help, this all worked out lovely. Thanks!
Thread about the guitar here:

So, I am a long time EBMM fan; the longest I've owned a guitar is my EBMM EVH (which kicked off my EBMM love). Hoever, time passes and I no longer play much electric - I spend my time on steel-string...
Wow - that was a SUPER job!
You have some serious skills; very jealous!
Thanks so much Beej - I was afraid I might cause some sort of ground loop or something.
Will wire up this coming weekend.
OK - So back with another supid question after finding some time to do this wiring (work getting in the way!):
Standard single coils have 2 wires, hot and ground, but the Cutlass have three: hot,...
Seriously helpful - thanks Gentlemen!
So, as far as I can tell, the DiMarzio and Suhr schemes are pretty different. Lots of potential for complete screw-ups here.
Forewarned is forearmed...
So, I have a bridge humbucker from an Axis that I am going to try in my Cutlass; I love the Axis bridge PU in anything - best bridge out there.
My Cutlass is SSS so I'm making up a HSS...
So the dealer, Guitar Guitar, asked Strings & Things how long it would take but action stopped there. Who cares? - they have my money.
You're right - I took it up with EBMM USA directly -...
So its 28 April and still no scratchplate. I'm now told ETA is now end of May. That's twice what I was quoted at first, presumably just so the UK distributors could save a couple of bucks on...
Not good. Not good at all.
I feel your pain but I'm feeling a bit better that I pulled the trigger on one of the non-roasted necks.
How does 3-4 weeks get to 5 months?!
Hey! Thaks so much for your very generous offer. Kudos to you!
However, to add salt to my wound, I was obliged to pay for the pickguard upfront, so I'm still sitting here waiting for it several...
I have always lusted after a seafoam axis. The nearest I got was this OLP a few years back.
Not surf, but close.

Bit of a beef here so tune out if you like.
I got a SSS Cutlass a few weeks ago - fabulous guitar. Indeed. A pal was so impressed with mine he got one as well.
Anyway, intention was always to...
That is insanely expensive!
I got a new SSS Cultass from Guitar Guitar in their recent blowout and then got a bit dejected when I realised the reason was because they were clearing stock for the...
Yes - I did spot that and contacted them but I should have said that I need a maple fretboard; I don't get on with RW. They had no maple models in stock sadly.
Yes - definitely have my eye on the...
Could be in the market for a Cutlass here: Anyone seen any EBMM dealers offering New Year sales prices on their guitars, or is that reserved for washing machines and suits rather than guitars? I'm in...
Seafoam, seafoam, seafoam Cutlass.
Looks GREAT on the Sterling version. It needs to be offered on the full-fat USA model.
I have had both (both HSS) and John above is right on it.
I really enjoyed the SS but the major problem for me was the neck profile - we all know that EBMMs are a bit on the slender side when it...
I think I'm going to spring for a new Cutlass HSS. I've had loads of EBMM over the years but all have been used (and at great prices), but it'll be a while before this one becomes available and the...
+++++
I would buy one immediately!
Is the rumoured HSS Cutlass at Namm guys?
