Hey guys, I need a bit of help.

I'm using Hybrid Slinkies Standard Tuning on my Ibanez RG3120, but for this new band I just joined, I'm required to tune down to C#.

What string gauge would I need to go from 9-46 Standard Tuning to C#, and keep the proper string tension? If anyone could help it would be amazingly appreciated :)

Brooks,

The Ernie Ball Skinny Top Heavy Bottom strings are great for this. One of my guitars is tuned the same way and I still get 10's but with a 30-42-52 on the D-A-E strings.

Guaged: 10-13-17P-30-42-52

If these aren't heavy enough try the Ernie Ball Nickel Medium Light set guaged:

12-16-24W-32-44-54

Hope this helps

Thanks Brian, thats exactly what I wanted to hear! I use Skinny Top Heavy Bottoms on my Les Paul, and absolutely love them. So much, that I bought a box the other day, and couldn't be more pleased.

I've been moving up and up with the heavy strings, and find that guitars seem much more "real" with a thick gauge. 10-52 is just perfect (and now I'm relieved that I dont need to go out and get a new pack, cause I got a box left over!) Thanks bro! :)
