Was in the local GC this past weekend and tried a couple of StingRays. Been trying to talk myself into one for a while now. Also tried a couple of other basses hanging around into a rig similar to what I have at home.

Then I picked up a dark red Bongo 4 string (Wine color of some type) and was amazed by how great it sounded. It was one of the best sounding basses I have ever played. Even my wife said she thought it sounds great.

Well, now it looks like I am going to be moving my frettless Stingray and a few other non-MM 4-stringers to make room, and start the hunt for a Bongo!

Stay tuned .... ;)

Yeah, I saw and it's killing me.

I got to move some of my gear before I take the plunge though.

Just not enough room for additional gear. (yes, that was the wife talking..lol)

Ill be honest, I love a good P-Bass. I just have a soft spot for the damn things.

However, when its all said and done, and I think about what the next bass will be, I gotta say the Bongo is hard to resist.

I believe that is it!!

Much better looking in the light of day as opposed to the dimly lit bass "corner" of the GC in Rockville MD.

As far as the Pbass, it will stay. Been with me since High School  and since I turn fourty in Feb , it's got seniority over them all.

The wife has a job, that's the only reason I get to indulge my sickness for all things noisy. :D

Hmmm... the B-day is in Feb and so close to X-mas... The wheels are turning now!!

Sounds like Rolls Burgandy. A truly spectacular color in person.

Unfortunately, I have some bad news for you. Once you pick up a Bongo you won't want to play any other bass ever again.

Nothing Like a Bongo bass.. :)
My other bass has been sold and the Bongo5 rules over and above all others I've had the pleasure of playing over the years.
I will never own anything else..
