Hey guys, just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I have been playing for about 12 years and picked up a MM about 3 weeks ago. It's a very, very nice addition to my collection. Am I complete now? :D

Yep, I play lefty, but am right handed. Strange, I know. :)

Believe me, there are a few more that I want to add to the collection, but I am pretty happy at the moment.

Thank-you for being fully clothed in that last pic...

LOL... The pickup would have covered anything, but that's funny.

On another funny note. I bought the Warwick and the MM around the same time and I was joking with people telling them that my wife kept waking up with bruises on her head and a bad mood for the first week that I had them. So, they would look at me for a minute and wonder what the heck I was talking about, and I just said she was sleeping too close to them and the bed was big enough for the 4 of us... and all she had to do was scoot over!

SVT + BassPOD Pro + SansAmp BDI

That's a hell of a lot of tone shaping machinery you got there!

I was waiting for someone to ask about that, so let me explain...

I ussually just plug directly into the SVT, or the loop with my effects without any of the tone shaping devices when playing live. The SansAmp was a gift and I ussually use that in conjunction with the pedal board for traveling around or plugging directly into the board. I play in a few churches that are scattered around and most of them use in-ears with a butt-kicker. The POD is almost used exclusively in the studio or at the house plugged into the computer via usb. There is no way in the world I would ever attempt to use all those devices inline. Its overkill, but they each serve a purpose in a few different settings.

I haven't had the POD very long and I am still learning the ins and outs of it when doing stuff at home or the studio. It's a pretty neat little unit, but I have never ran it through my SVT and cab... not really needed.

Welcome aboard Tim. Good to have you along. Good to see that someone other than me has the Zoom BFX708. I thought I may have been their only customer. I am interested in your thoughts on it.

I have had the 708 since it first came out. I needed a tuner and wanted to mess around with some effects, so that was a perfect fit at the time. I don't really use the effects on it, but the tuner always comes in handy when I don't have my big rig. There are a few affects on it that I use, like the JacoP effect when I play fretless. I'm not a big effects guy though, I just like the straight up tone on my basses. The amp/eq on my Ampeg does the rest. :D
