The coated strings are reinforced with titanium. They are all essentially "RPS".

No problemo! I do that sort of thing more than I'd like to admit... :)

I just tried two sets on my Axis. I loved the tone, but found myself breaking the strings. I broke an E, b, and g string a week later. I thought it might have been a fluke, so I installed another set, but had the same experience. Not trying to discourage anyone from trying them out, but they just didn't work for me. I've been using the pink package slinkies (9'S) for the past year, and haven't broke a string, usually change them every two to three weeks. This was about three weeks ago, I put on a fresh set of the regular strings, and have had no breakage. I will probably use them for a studio session in the future, but can't afford to use them all of the time.

Hey Rick!

Can you do me a favor (if you still have the above mentioned sets) and send those broken strings to me, here at the factory?

This way, I can have QC look into the issue! This is a great help to us, as we are always looking for ways to improve our great products. I'm sure your issue was an isolated one. However, we'd still appreciate the opportunity to investigate!

Thanks, Rick!

BP, didn't mean any ill will at all. I love your products, and just posted my results using the new product. I stated in the post I am not trying to discourage anyone from trying them. I in no way meant to bash EB. I apologize sincerely if you took it that way. I sent the stiffness a pm, I do not have the strings anymore, but I will try a new set, I'm going to pick them up today at GC, string my Axis with them and use them. If the same thing happens, I will send them in for inspection. If it was a manufacturing goof, or just a fluke, or it was just me, I would love to do my part in helping to fix it, if indeed it was a problem with the product. Again BP, my apologies.
