1992 preamp substitute

My 92 SR5 pre is shot, and finding a replacement is proving challenging. Any suggestions? Right now I am mainly concerned about compatibility. The 3 coil p/u and 3 position blade switch seem to be problems when finding a match.

Is it just not working at all? Have you tried having it repaired?

Repair guy says the circuit board was overheated (by soldering iron?) and some traces are unusable. It has been cutting out during play. He is trying to salvage it, but told me to start looking for alternate parts. Could I replace the pup and pre with a new EBMM setup?
