Anybody bought or played a 2004 limited edition stingray?I would appreciate some feedback on it as I am about to buy one.

I've always been under the impression that the only thing different about this bass is the color of the headstock, the stencil and the neck plate. Everything about the way it plays and sounds should be the same as any other Stingray.

I was under the impression that Envy Green was the '04 Ltd colour for all models per EBMM News ... I never researched Radiance Red ...

but Envy Green / Abalone is what really sold me on the Ltd anyway ... I've had that combination in my brain for years as "I can't tell you what she looks like but I'll know her the moment I see her" ...

truthfully, because of Special Order SR5/Fretless 1stborn being such a cosmic delight, SR5/Maple 2nd Sister scooped a sale out from under G&L ... and Ltd Bongo5/Rosewood 3rd Sister is scooping a sale out from under Sadowsky ... and "not" a Metro either !
~

and then there's the Desert Gold *rush* for a Bongo5/Maple??

eventually I'd still like that Sadowsky 24fretx5 ... if Sterling will just settle down a bit :-))

open B / Rayan
