is anybody know which potentiometer is used on the musicman van halen ? Is it a 250k or a 500k. Is it changing anything on the tone ? is it a linear one ?

I'm no expert, but most volume pots are audio taper.
LOG 500k and get a good one. Get them from the customer service or from your MM Dealer.Not cheap one because the cheap ones have no real quality and they often have between 430k and 560k instead of 500k. +- 5% is ok.
