25th Anni

Well, looks like I maybe trading my Steve Morse for a maple neck 25th anniv. Guitar. Don't get me wrong the Morse plays great and is the second one I have owned. I don't play live anymore and am just wanting something different.

From everything I have read the 25th sounds like a good guitar. I am hoping for the trade be done next Friday. The star aligned for it to work out. Looking forward to getting my hands on it.

Any comments or comparisons would be appreciated...thx

I love my 25th!
Those are very different guitars aside from the fact that they both have a lot of pickup selection choices.
You won't be disappointed

Can't tell you anything about a Morse, but I love the feel and versatility of my 25th Anni. (Mine has a rosewood board and is what I'm playing in my avatar).

Nice guitar... Well the deal fell through oh well...learned a few things about the 25th and reflex in the process which is always a good thing...

I've got both and play both frequently. However, my 25th is my real go-to guitar. The 25th actually has more different sounds inside than the SM. You can't say that about many guitars! The 25th is the most resonant body of any guitar I own. Really sings without even being plugged in. Both guitars are similar in that you really need to learn the subtleties of the vol and tone to get the most out of them.

The 25th on the bridge is a lot brighter than many guitars. That might take some getting used to. Or you just adjust your playing in other ways. Positions 2 and 4 are pretty uniquely voiced.

It's a great great axe. Be ready to go to school on it!

----only now did I see that you didn't get the guitar. Sorry. If you see another one, go for it, only don't sell the Morse!
