3eq / 2eq

hey hey,
anyone know how i could get ahold of the 2eq preamp. Im thinking i like the sound of the 2eq more than the 3 eq, and i'd like to slap one into my burnt apple (leaving a useless knob rather than a hole on the body.

anyone know?

i like the sound of the MM preamp though.

not a bartolini fan, too hi-fi if you know what i mean...

haven't tried an aguilar...

I may be wrong but it would seem to me that you can achieve the same results by leaving the mids flat. Won't that work?

tried that, it's just a different tone, hard to describe.. there was a topic that gave instructions on converting a 3band to remove a filter or some sort, but i can't remember it.

if someone remembers and that will give me the desired result, then please post.
