Hey dudes!

My name is Marco Rodi and I was representing my country, Canada, at the international music festival in France. I'm doing alot of solo shows and here is one of mine.

In my first song, I use a G and L... but after ERNIE BALL MUSIC MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man you'se one busy fella ... you really got a handful of fingers dont ya.

I'm sorry, it's a kind of playing that doesn't do it for me .. but I can still appreciate the level of dedication and effort, skill and sheer musicianship it takes play it like that ... as Jim says .. outrageous !!

i dunno, i like the first part, but i have to say, the over all fealing i have is, it lacks musicianship.. theres alot of sick things there, but no molatic motives for most of it. Its all flash i guess, which works, dont get me wrong. It just seems like somethen you would do in the practice room when your bored.


but its still cool to watch.

On a personal note, I'd like to point out how much better(I think) the Music Man sounds in comparison to the G&L. Again, simply my oppinion, but what I've really left this video with is 'Lordy I'm glad I'm a Music Man player'.

I don't see this as wanking. This is a good demonstration of what dedicated players can do with a bass. I am sure that alot of the audience walked away with a different view of bassists after this performance. We're not simply guitarists who took the easy way out.

Great chops and great use of a looper :)

Yeah I'd have to agree with this. To me the piece wasn't about the music as much as it was about what can be done on a bass. More of an experiment than a musical rendition I suppose. Some bits were great to watch and to listen to, others were great to watch but weren't as good to listen to. That's ok. I do think it's a fantastic example of what can be done with different styles of bass playing.

Lot's of fun!
I especially like the tongue-in-cheek parts, like the neckslap and that wha coming on for short periods right in the middle.
Also, the encore with chic, queen, sterling ripoff lap playing and other stuff is just hilarious!

The first part doesn't do it for me, though. Reminds me of some new age geetar stuff I don't want to remember.

Anyho, great fun and I know I couldn't do that in a million years:D
