Hello

-- Beware this post is a shameless plug :eek::eek:

There are a lot of nice pictures on this forum. There are several sites where you can store your pictures.
A very good friend of mine has created such a site. His site (Zoomorama) is nice because you can publish full resolution images and you can add captions. Soon, it will be possible to add some videos. And it is completely FREE.

Here is an example of a photo album I made :
MusicMan Steve Morse Signature

In order to publish an album, you have to download a software. Sorry Big Poppa, it is just for Windows (but the software is develop on the Mozilla technology, so we can expect a Mac release).

Just tell me what you think. It is an Alpha release. My friend is waiting for some users feedback in order to improve Zoomorama.

That's pretty cool....it's nice how you can zoom in and out of the pictures.
can you change the fonts and colors?
Is the site ready for users?

Yes you can change the layout, the background color, the fonts ...
The site is ready. Just go to Zoomorama
download the software, create your album and upload it.
An album can have several pages. I think the limit for an album is 100MB, and of course you can create several albums ;)

That zoom thing on the mouse pointer is SO ANNOYING! I found myself trying to shake it off and it wouldn't budge!

Then I found the wheel on the mouse works for zooming too and that IS very cool! And suddenly the zoomy thingy on the pointer stopped bothering me so much.

Some mouses don't have a wheel, so it is necessary to have another way for zooming. But you're right, when you have the wheel, it's much more easier !
What I like is that you can zoom on exactly what you want.
DRKev, you live in Paris I believe. Did you check the Zoomolocal page ? Really interesting, I think.

thats really cool! im using this for my ebmm!

Your page is nice :)
By the way, you have 3 Morse (2 regular and 1 Y2D). I'm jealous !
On the black one, I think you change the pickup height. You need more gain ? I made the same with my Morse, but after one month, I get back to the factory settings.

If your original images are high quality, you will have a high resolution on Zoomomail : Zoomomail does not recompress the images. Look at this example :
ZOOMOMAIL

You can zoom and see the details of the feathers ... amazing (the guy who took the photos is really good).
